The Reveal of the Red Skull looms

The Red Skulls introduction is around the corner.

The film makers of the Captain America movie that is currently in development right now have been sporadically dropping photos of the set of the movie or concept art. When it comes to the actual footage that was shown at the San Diego Comic Con though there have been no reveal or leak unfortunately. As fans, our fortunes might be changing sooner rather than later.

Recently Kevin Feige president of Marvel Studios spoke to Total Film, said that the designs for the Red Skull have been established and hinted that the look of the infamous Nemesis of Captain America will be "rather frightening".

Rumors are now starting to circulate that the Red Skull concept art may be leaked soon. I personally think in my gut that it may be true- for the reason that I think most of these "leaks" are anything BUT leaks but releases by the studio just to create buzz. They then pull these 'releases' to give the fans a tease of what to look forward to. I think it has been done many times in the past, and I think the formula will continue with this film. I'd give it within the next two months.

When the "leak" does come out I also consider it to be quite a surprise for a lot of people in a good way. The Red Skull is one of the more important characters in the Captain America universe. They know this. If they screw him up, it would be akin to screwing up the Joker in a Batman movie. It would tank the entire project. That is another reason why they've taken so long to reveal the Red Skull. He's a keystone character whos development is being treated with kid gloves.

What do you think? Do you think the reveal of the Red Skull is around the corner? Do you think these leaks are actually releases by the studio?

Captain America: The First Avenger features Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull alongside Chris Evans as Captain America, Neal McDonough’s Dum Dum Dugan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes.
